ExperienceI have tutored for over nine years and believe it is really about showing one how to learn. Anybody can learn, but some don't realize how to best approach it. I have learned many tips and tricks over the years and I also share what I know from getting a master's degree. I can help in math, reading, writing, grammar, college essays, history, social studies, homework, and study skills. In class, it's hard for teachers and professors to cater to every single student, which leads to some people missing out on details and falling behind. Catching up becomes a real struggle. When tutoring, I try to bridge a gap between what the tutee knows and the things they need to know. I make the explanations simple but also relatable. The tutoring session should be a more relaxed educational setting so that is why I believe it's important to connect with a tutee as a friend. I invest a great deal in my students' success and the self confidence a tutoring session can provide.I was a student at the University of Michigan - Dearborn. Now living in Livonia, Michigan, I spend my free time by immersing myself in sports, games, and trivia.
